Kendall's 2 Month

I can’t believe that 2 months since Kendall was born has already passed by. Time goes so fast! She is really getting on a routine of things which Kevin and I love. During the day when she wakes up she wants to eat, then “play” for about 45 minutes, and then she wants her pacifier and rocked to sleep. How long she sleeps is pretty random still. Usually it is for at least an hour, but the other day she slept for 7 hours! We don’t expect that to happen too often. Kendall enjoys her swing and the bouncy seat that vibrates. Many times while I’m cooking dinner she will sit in her bouncy seat on the counter and watch me cook. It never fails though; she always wants to eat when dinner is ready. Thank goodness for microwaves!

Yesterday we went in for her 2 month checkup. And boy did Kendall have an opinion about being at the doctors! Her opinion was “get me outta here!” For the most part Kendall doesn’t do a lot of crying so I’m thinking she wasn’t feeling 100%. She cried almost the whole time at the doctors and then later that evening threw up A LOT (way more than usual). And she didn’t like her vaccines either. I hate seeing the real tears roll down her cheeks! 

Dr. Tsang couldn’t believe how big Kendall was. Just like her big brother – I guess we know how to raise some chunky monkey kids over here! She weighed 14 lbs and 11 oz. To quote Dr. Tsang “she is off the charts!” She thought that we might be feeding her too much and should cut back on the milk supply (maybe that was one reason Kendall was crying?). Kevin and I talked about it and made the decision to go against doctor orders. She suggested we feed her every 2 hours again with less milk. Right now she is going about 4 hours between feedings and neither one of us really want to go backwards in the nursing process. So in the end Kendall, if you are really messed up somehow, you can blame it on your mom and dad and your feeding habits when you were 2 months old. Because Kendall was crying so much I didn’t get to hear how long she was, but I did catch that it was in the 80 percentile. I will have to measure her here at the house in the next day or two.

Kendall loves sleeping in her crib at night and during the day for naps. Her smiles keep getting bigger and bigger and she likes holding on to things. She is a wiggly thing which only foreshadows the days ahead. She isn’t a big fan of the pacifier and ONLY uses the green one. I hope we never loss it because it is the only one we have like that. Kendall loves looking at her big brother and Parker loves helping her out – getting her toys, “shaking” her hand, and being silly trying to get her to laugh.

And I know I've been a terrible mommy when it comes to pictures! My excuse...life is busy with 2 kids!!!
