Nice Weather!

It's already 2009 and I think I'm making that actualization a little late! Obviously it's been '09 for a whole month now; I think was just too focused on Parker's first birthday to realize that another year had gone by.
On Parker's actual birthday we went all out and went to the grocery store...isn't that what every kid wants to do on his birthday. Poor Parker. Just for the record we did get him a cupcake to make up for the suffering he had to endure at the store. I think he forgave us.

Later that evening Grandpa Kirk and Nancy came over. Parker stayed up way past his bedtime playing ball and listening to music while the adults had a couple adult beverages.

Then the last week has been pretty busy for me. We had conferences so I had two late nights +
I had the annual softball rules coaches meeting. The nice thing is though that I had Friday off...and double bonus...it was nice weather! Sixty degrees in February - unheard of in Kansas! Friday we ended up taking Parker and Reagan to the park and meeting up with Aunt Loni and her great dane Levi. The wind could take your breath away, but the sun felt great! However Saturday was even better! The sun was warmer and NO WIND! So we packed up again and headed over to the park seconds away from our house and spent some time there.

Then we headed over to a pet store to check out some animals. Parker just loves animals. He really enjoyed watching the hamsters and birds. We figured we walk out of there with some new creature, but Mom and Dad stayed strong!

Then we headed home and played a while longer outside; we just couldn't get enough!

We've really been working on the spoon thing over here. It is getting better, but still is a "bib-or-no-shirt" situation.

We are anxiously awaiting Parker's cousin Jozlyn (hope I spelled it right!?!). Aunt Jenny was dilated to a one last I heard! Any day! Come out, come out, where ever you are! Parker needs a playmate!
