Random Stuff...

It is so nice to be off for the summer and spend some time with the kiddos. I know Kevin and I raised them both the same, but they are so different and unique. And I know that that is why I love them both so much!

We have spent many days at the pool so far. They both LOVE to swim. Parker has no fear and goes straight for the deep end. Or he is heading for the slides or playing pool basketball with boys twice his size. Every where he goes he makes new friends; never shy. Kendall is not afraid of the water either! She is just a little bit more dainty about things than her big brother. She likes to sun bathe next to me and last week she fell asleep in the pool with her head on my lap. She is my kinda girl!! Right now she does most of her swimming with her life jacket on but she can get across the pool pretty quickly!

 She just might be my crafty girl too. Right now she loves to paint and use scissors to cut up all the paper in the house.

 We went to the zoo the other day. It was beautiful out and even took a picnic lunch. The giraffes watched us eat.

 And Kendall is still loving her dance class. She does an amazing job of listening to directions, following them, and waiting her turn. It is a 3-year old dance class, so the other kids in there are older than her since she doesn't turn 3 for another month, but I think she fits right in.

Kevin and I decided to take a little vaca so we went up to Kansas City for the weekend. We went to some AMAZING restaurants and gorged ourselves. Hit up the Plaza for shopping (and more food) and on Saturday we went to a Royals game. We only got 4 innings in before it rained, but we still had a great time. NO KIDS!
