Kids make the holidays so much fun; to see them anticipate, their eyes light up, and to hear them talk about the real reason for the season. It is so much fun to be a parent of two awesome kiddos! This Christmas, however, had a bit of a twist to it. SICK! SICK! SICK! I got an extra couple of days off of work for the holiday season and it was filled with sickness. It started on Friday with Kendall throwing up then by Sunday, I was throwing up. Kevin didn't start throwing up until a week later. But in the mean time Parker got walking pneumonia and Kendall got RSV. When the kids started to feel better, Kevin and I got a cold and Kevin ended up with a pretty severe ear infection because he was so congested. Kevin has said Lysol needs to invent a "bomb" that you can just throw into your house and kill all the germs. Boy, do we need that around here. BUT, other than us wiping noses, changing some nasty diapers, and hugging the toilet we had an AWESOME Christmas. I'm going to let the pictures do most of the speaking...first we started the Saturday before at Grandpa Kirk and Dana's house. Kendall didn't come with us because she was still contagious from her RSV and we didn't want any of the Estes, Smith, or Woodard kids to get it. Grandpa and Dana swung by the next day to see her open her gifts.

our sickly Christmas
Sunday morning we went to church. Kendall looked so cute in her Christmas dress!
Then Monday morning (Christmas Eve) the family fun/madness began! It started with a giggle; Kendall's hair was a disaster when we pulled her from her crib! WOW! (She was getting her breathing treatment for the RSV).
When we got that under control, we started for brunch at the Smith house.
Then we came home to have our own little Christmas.
Kendall got a quick nap while Parker and I put together a couple of his Lightning McQueen legos.
In the evening we headed over the Kevin's parents house for some Meirowsky Time.
When we left, it was dark outside (it was only like 9:00). Parker was VERY concerned. As we pulled out of the driveway, he asked "what happens if we aren't home when Santa gets to our house."
Kevin said "he just goes to the next house. If you aren't in bed asleep when Santa gets to our house then he just skips you. Outta luck!"
"Oh no Dad! Hurry and get home. Can I skip a bath tonight?" And the whole way home..."hurry Dad! Hurry! Pass that car!"
I've never seen him take a bath that fast and I think he went to sleep before he hit the bed!
So when he woke up in the morning...
