It amazes me how fast babies change! Everyday I look at Kendall and I feel like she looks so different. Her expressions are absolutely priceless. She keeps her mom, dad, and brother laughing! Nights have been okay. Last week there were a couple of nights that she slept in 4 hour blocks (Mom REALLY appreciates that!), but this week has been no such luck. Of course she has gas and the pain that goes with it, so she really just likes to be held during that time. At least this time around, Dad and I have a better feel for the "baby thing" and don't get so worked up about her crying. Since Dad is working right now, I have been in charge at night. Some nights seem like they are never going to end, but how can you complain when you see her little face. Kendall sleeps the best in the morning from about 6 to 10. So sometimes Parker sleeps in and I can steal a nap. We have noticed in the last couple of days that she is becoming more alert and follows Parker and I's face from side to side. And her neck is so strong; she does an awesome job of holding her head up. She hasn't minded tummy time and loves to be propped up on her brown pillow. Baths so far are just okay...she prefers to sit with me in the whirlpool tub. The jets really make her eyes get HUGE! I would say her favorite thing is to fall asleep on Dad's chest in the rocking chair. Everytime I come home from volleyball practice, that is where I find them. I think they could both sleep the evening away like that.
15 days old
Yep, she has that same crazy hair that Parker did. 22 days old.
Although he is not a fan of the crying, Parker has been doing amazing with Kendall! Obviously she wakes up and cries during the night, but even though they share a hallway, Parker still hasn't been gotten up because of her. And whenever she cries, Parker is sure to tell me "Kendall wants to eat!" Which is correct 90% of the time! If I tell him that she just ate and I remind him that sometimes babies just cry, he does the Big Brother "Thing" and tries to make her happy. He will hunt down her pacifier and give it to her (very careful to not touch the part she sucks on) or finds a rattle or toy and bounces it in front of her. He even pats her tummy or back and says "it's okay Kendall." He is too cute! I must say that he has been quite the helper!
