Parks!

Parker, Grandma Lisa and I got to visit one of the parks in Wichita this morning. Grandma told Parker all about how this was the happening place and this was "The Zoo" before the Sedgwick County Zoo opened up. They still had a couple of animals - birds, turtles, bobcat, beaver, and a skunk. Parker really enjoyed watching the bobcat and skunk!

Then we hit the playground but best of all he loved the water! He was a little skiddish at first, but he got used to it pretty quick and loved playing in the water fountains.

Then when we got home, Kevin and I decided to test Parker's skills out at mini golf. He does so well at home hitting the ball around and we thought he would have fun...let's just say he did "okay." Of course he didn't understand what the heck was going on and he kept hitting the ball the wrong way. When we tried to turn him around, whew he got mad! He wasn't as successful as he usually is at hitting the ball, but he had a better time inside at the arcade games. But he did manage to knock the ball in the hole!

And lastly, I have to brag on Kevin...he has totally transformed our backyard!!! It is finally all complete and looks BEAUTIFUL! Parker and I love every bit of it...the grass (way better than dirt!), the pool (Parker is becoming a real fish), the concreted area (to ride the toys around on), and new and improved deck space (more stairs & more space) and furniture. It is so awesome! He worked so hard on it and it really paid off. The before and after pictures really speak for themselves. Thanks Kevin!
