So Much to Tell...

I think those eyes are going to stay blue...

Since last I blogged, we have had so much happen! Today, Father's Day, Parker has discovered he can roll over. Back to front; and he is so excited about it. He just keeps doing it and doing it. Every time he looks up and looks for praise. He is so proud of himself (yes, Mom and Dad are proud too)! Besides his new fun "aerobic activity" Kevin decided he wanted to go to the zoo today. I was hoping that Parker would stay awake long enough to see a couple exhibits, but he impressed me!! He got to see almost the whole zoo...we were there for about 3 1/2 hours, and he slept for the last 45 minutes. I think his favorite part was the farm animals and the penguins. We were watching the penguins swim in the water and his head just kept following them back and forth. I can only imagine what was going on in his head; "what are all these crazy things Mom and Dad are pointing at?" Kevin and I kept waiting for him to get bored, or hot (it was about 90 degrees), or fussy, but Parker just loves being outside and seeing new things.

Check out the bowing bear!

Saturday night was Gina and Jeremy's wedding, Kevin was a groomsmen in it. Everything went really well and looked great. Kevin has been Jeremy's friend since they where little kids and have stayed close. He was thrilled to be a part of his friends celebration. The reception was alot of fun, lots of booze and dancing. It was the first time in a long time that I really put a few drinks down. Parker has been on cereal for about a week now and is finally able to enjoy it. It has been really great since he has been on rice cereal, every other night is sleeping for about ten hours, and that means mom and dad are so much more pleasant the next day.
Also, for Father's Day, my mom got a little kit to put Parker's hand/foot print in. Wow, that was quite the project. First of all the concrete was too wet, so it wouldn't hold anything. Then we got that problem solved and Parker was so intrigued by this stuff we kept making him put his hand and feet in. Typical boy, just wanted to grab it and squeeze the stuff through his fingers and toes. But we finally came out with one that was half decent. My mom put some stones in it and and wrote the date for a cool finished project. Kevin will have to put it in the backyard this fall when he redoes it.

After we got done with the concrete project, Parker and I headed over to Great Grandma and Bill's house. We had a good time over there, Parker had lots to say. I think Parker was telling them what I had put him through over at Grandma Lisa's house. Great Grandma gave Parker a silver dollar and a buffalo nickel from my grandpa's collection that we have stashed away for later days. Then my cousin Amee came over along with her mom Terri. Terri is in the process of hopefully adopting a little girl Hally. So we got to meet her; super cute. However Parker is about 6 months younger and pretty much the same size. We are raising a football lineman over here!!

Looks like he is just going to toss the ball right up to her, doesn't it?

The day before Kevin, Parker and I decided to check out the pool in our neighborhood. Everyone told us he was going to hate it and scream, and I half expected it because the water was still pretty cold, but once again he was really good. They have a kiddy pool for the young ones so that is where we went. At first he didn't know what to expect and just held really still and watched everyone else. But by the end he was loving it and was splashing around. Maybe the little snoozer we took helped.

Kevin and I also had our 3 year anniversary last Wednesday. He got to enjoy a night out while one of my softball players babysat for us. I know she did a great job, but we came home to find Parker with his diaper on backwards!! haha Silly girl!
