Kendall's Birthday Videos
Had some computer issues, so I'm just now getting Kendall's videos up from her birthday. She has her 1 year check up this coming Friday, so I will update more after that.

Rodeo
Grandpa Kirk and Bonana invited us to the Mulvane Rodeo last night. Kendall enjoyed petting the horses and Parker liked watching the barrell races. I think we should wait a year or two to go back again...it just didn't move fast enough to keep their attention. Kendall was a wiggle worm, but the popsicles that Bonana bought kept both Kendall and Parker happy.

Kendall's First 365 days
365 days and each one has been so special. My baby Kendall Rae is already 1 year old! She brings a smile to her mommy and daddy’s face every day. Her personality is really shining through; she is so funny! She makes the silliest faces, does the goffiest things and her giggles are hilarious. Especially right now as when she smiles on her one top tooth shows. Right now she does have 3 and a half teeth (2 on the bottom and 1 ½ on top). She loves to shake her head back and forth to make herself dizzy. It cracks both her and her parents up. She has some crazy hair going on right now too. I can’t wait to pick her up in the morning to see which way it is sticking up. It is so thick in the back; I love to run my fingers through her baby soft hair! And Kendall is such a jabberbox right now too. Her vocabulary has increased to : “ma-ma,” “Ra-Ra,” (Ray-Ray; short for Reagan) “ba”-th, “ball,” “bye-bye” and “swi”-ing. And she has some other sounds that only a mom and dad could pick out and know the meaning of. She is still not walking but getting closer and closer. She likes to push things around and walk behind them and loves to grab her parents fingers and walk us around. Parker also helps her walk around too; so cute that they play together so well! Parker likes to jump on the trampoline with her. When it isn’t 100 degrees outside, we will take the kiddos outside and we let Kendall point to what she wants to do – jump or swing. Parker’s favorite is to jump, but Kendall usually wants to swing. To make things fair, so always do both! Kendall has been like her brother in the fact that they do not like to get too dirty. Whenever she does get dirty, she has this look on her face like “HELP!” Silly kids! And no more bottles – just a book before bed. We have spent about a month giving Kendall a bottle after her bath before bed. About 2 weeks ago, we went straight from bath to reading a couple of books to bedtime and NO PROBLEM! She is so easy going! Speaking of books – SHE LOVES BOOKS! I think we could do books all day. She isn’t very content looking at them by herself; she always wants Kevin or I reading to her. After about 30 minutes of reading, I admit we slide the books under the couch so she will forget about them. She has about 3 favorites and you can only read them about 20 times before you go crazy! Kendall still loves music and to boogy! If she is fussy in the evening, it stills is our way to calm her down. She does the funniest shoulder shrugs when she is dancing and in the car she claps her hands and kicks her feet.
As for Kendall’s birthday party, so had the immediate family over last Thursday evening for cake and ice cream. We opened presents (with a lot of help from Parker). I’m excited for her gifts because here lately she has just been playing with Parker’s cars and dinosaurs. So she finally got some girlie toys! Thank you so much for the baby doll, nursery set, shopping cart, books, princess chair, clothes, bath toys, vibrating ball, puzzle, and V-tech Turtle Learning Game. So many great things that she already has been enjoying!
Then we went straight for the cake. Kendall wasn’t real sure of it, but once she got a taste, she was shoveling it in faster and faster. Her grand finale was once she was covered in icing (face and hands) she shook her hands flinging the purple frosting everywhere! All over the walls, door, people’s clothes! GREAT!
Watch out...here it comes!
So while we gave her a bath the cousins went on a treasure hunt to find their party favors. They got some trampoline and swing/slide time and the evening was a wrap!
Thanks to everyone for helping use celebrate her first year!
