Two Teeth and a "Mamamamama"

This past week has been spring break and it has been SO AWESOME to spend some time with my kiddos! Kendall's personality is really shining through and she is a lot of fun to play with. Now she has two teeth (both on the bottom) and is trying lots of different fruits and veggies. Still not a big fan of the puffs. Cereal still her fav with bananas a close second. She is a chatterbox too. I get a lot of "mamamamama" so it is definitely her first word; I'm not sure that she totally understands what it means, but to me it means the world! Kendall is still not crawling, but she does scoots backwards.

Parker has been doing great too. He is loving school and always comes home with fun stories from the day. He comments occasionaly that he is ready to go back to Tammy's house. Kevin starts back to work full time next week, so his wish is about to come true. He loves playing with all his buddies at the babysitters house. We are pretty sure that Parker is going to be a techno-nerd. This spring break it rained for 4 days straight. So he spent his time either on my Kindle Fire or on the computer. He is a whiz when he comes to that kind of stuff. He will also start tee ball here in the next month - he (and Kevin and I) can't wait!!

Kendall's First Tooth

It took several days of whining, but finally it has sprung forth! Kendall has her first tooth. We have been giving her more and more of "regular" food - she does NOT like peas, but squash is okay. I don't think she likes the texture of pears, but applesauce is another on her like-list. We have tried giving her the little puffs that disolve, but she isn't a big fan of those either. It will be nice when she can pick up the little bite size pieces and put them in her mouth herself. She still likes to rake her fingers at things. She continues to go to bed early. I hardly get to see her when I get home from softball practice at 6:30. I get home then it is bath and then bed time. And she has officially become a thumb sucker. However, she only does it when she is in bed. We have totally fallen in love with her smile; it brightens the whole room. I can't wait to get home to see it. She is a Daddy's Girl right now; she just glows when he is around. Only a couple more months and I will get to be home with her everyday!

Practicing good oral hygiene.

Kendall loves to have her face totally covered with a blanket when she sleeps.

Stubborn little girl. She loves to dance, but I guess she is camera shy.
Last weekend was the softball work day on our two fields. Parker was excited about coming out to help paint the fence. It was only 32 degrees out so we put some long underwear on him. Kevin told him that was all he was going to wear. "No dad! The girls will make fun of me!" HAHA! He was so worried, but when we got there he wanted to show everyone his cool clothes.

We finally got Parker's trampoline up in the backyard. He LOVES to jump on it! We put it up on a Sunday afternoon and a freak storm came through on Monday afternoon. The storm lasted about 15 minutes, but it was enough to blow the trampoline into the field behind our house. Parker was SO concerned. Tears and all! Grandpa Kirk and Dad to the rescue!

Who is having more fun? Daddy or Parker?
