Easter

We had a fabulous Easter this year and Parker loaded up on some candy! Our "first" Easter began at our house with Cassie, Ellah, Smith's, Maus, Great Grandma, Bill and us. Parker helped make the Pink Lemonade Squares...he was smashing the pretzels for the crust and smacked his finger...OUCH! After we recovered from that, the very next swing, he hit himself in the head. Clumsy kiddo right now! haha He decided that hitting the buttons on the oven was more his style.

Parker quickly found a TON of eggs, so then he helped his smaller cousins find theirs.

Poor Addie...

We even had a little kite flying fun!

Next, we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Meirowsky's house where he met up with the rest of his cousins.  More food...more eggs...more family time!

Our last stop was to Grandpa Kirk's house. We got to meet his new girlfriend's family and, yes, more candy! by that time I was too pooped to take any more pictures. Next time!
BUT...Parker got his first taste of Easter this year at the Maize Rec building hunting Easter eggs with about 20 other kids. Boy, he cleaned up and had a great time!

Soccer

Softball season is in full swing and that is my excuse for not keeping up with Parker's life right now! Bad Mommy!

Parker started soccer at the beginning of April. Kevin and I were so excited for him to start playing sports because next to playing Cars at home, that is a close second favorite thing to do - anything with a ball! We debated whether to put him in a league that plays games weekly or in a "micro league" where they just practice skills and then scrimmage the last bit of practice. Since Parker hadn't been around much soccer, we decided the micro league would be better for him. So how's it been going...Parker hates it! :) The first practice he spent the majority of practice in tears and totally mad. He didn't want to do what the coach was telling him, he didn't want to practice the skills - "just wanna score goals!" and he was mad because the kids wouldn't share. Poor Parker...we have been telling him all along to share with other kids and then when it comes to scrimmaging, those kids aren't sharing with him. He thinks that if he kicks the ball to him, then they should kick it back. NOPE! haha One day we will look back at this and laugh (but right now it is VERY frustrating!).
Not sure how we got these pictures without tears in his eyes, but hey...they look like he is having fun!

Aunt Cassie and Ellah came to root him on!
