Halloween Part 1

What is Halloween without a little pumpkin carving...

Spooky jack-o-lantern daddy!

Speaking of spooky...check these boys out!
Our softball team played in a Duck Soup tournament last week and the boys on the team decided to do a little cross dressing...I think they should stick to being boys!

Maize Fall Festival

Fall Festival time in the community of Maize. Parker and I acutally went Friday night after the Maize football game. We rode a couple of rides and then Parker won a dog shooting a cup using a cork gun. But Jenny, Jozzy, JD, Eric, Loni, Addie, Cassie, Ellah, Maus, and Grandpa Kirk joined us Saturday morning for the parade. Parker got so much candy and don't think we are going to have to go out on Halloween!

After the parade, Jozzy and Parker headed over to the bounce area. This made for a good nap later.

Rides were next...

Pumpkin Patch

Friday afternoon we visited Cox Farms Pumpkin Patch. Our experience was just okay. The employees weren't very helpful and the experience was more set up for about 10 year olds. There was 3 different mazes that you could do. It was a hot afternoon so we weren't into wondering around in the corn for a couple hours.

They did have a ride for the kiddies though; a "cow train."

Then it was off to pick out our pumpkins.

Yard Work

Tis the season! Fall has come and so the yard must go in! Parker loved helping plant our trees (aka play in the dirt).

Then a couple days later, INSTA-YARD! Thanks to eveyone for the back-breaking help. We got it done in about 2 hours. We couldn't have done it without your help!

It looks so great! I can't wait for it take root so Parker and Reagan can go run around on it.

Speaking of yard work, the Smith's have been going through the same process. Their yard it looking good too! We all got to enjoy it on Cassie's birthday. We had burgers for her birthday and watched the kids run around.

State Fair (9/17)

It worked out perfect this year. I had parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday/Thursday the same week of the State Fair. Therefore I had Friday off and Parker and I (along with the Smith's and Maus) got to go to the State Fair! We got to see lots of animals...

Then we got to go watch a Monkey Show and it was FANTASTIC! The monkeys were ones that are trained for omericals and movies. The guy was a Ace Ventura look alike (darn it I didn't get a picture of him!) and was great with the monkeys. While we were waiting on the show to start we got some great pictures of Maus with the grandkids.

Then if was off to the Pig Races! Parker had a total break down on the way there. It has been a long time since I've seen him that upset. I left Parker with Maus and Eric so I could use the restroom and when I came back he was literally kicking and sceaming and running away. It took awhile to regain his composure; not sure what it was about!
Maus and Parker were choosen to be cheerleaders for the white section. Go Maus - shake those pom pons!

Then we ate some lunch and headed to the rides. Parker loved the Tilt O Whirl!!

Parker hooked up with a real cutie on the Dragon roller coaster.

The day all ended with an ice cream cone and REAL tired little boy! He didn't make it out of Hutch before he was snoring in the back seat.
