October Days

The leaves are changing and we find ourselves spending less and less time outside. It seems so early for it to be so chilly outside! So we have had to convert to indoor football...haha!
We have got to the park a couple of times. This particular time we got to feed the ducks.

Just last Friday, Kevin and I biked with Parker to the park, played on the playground, met some of Parker's buddies from the babysitters, then biked back. He absolutely loves to go biking! It is near impossible to go into the garage with him without him pointing at them and saying "BIKE!" There for a while I was jogging with him in the stroller, but when we got the seat that attaches to the back of my bike, he prefers that far over riding in the stroller.

Then the last week has been cold and wet. We were disappointed that we didn't get to attend the Maize Fall Festival last weekend because of the weather (I think the high that day was 45 degrees - Mom is way to much of a wuss to go through that!). But instead we got to go visit Great Grandma James. Then once again last Wednesday the weather ruined our plans. I had taken the day off of work to go to C-Arrow Stables with our play group to ride the ponies, visit the petting zoo, and play on the playground. But we had to cancel due to mud! Kevin had the day off too because of the weather so instead we went bowling. Parker had never been, so we didn't know what to expect. He did so good! Parker was excited with the ball returned and also when it hit the pins. Kevin and I half expected him to chase the ball down the alley, but he stood their patiently and clapped as the ball got closer.

And last night it was just warm enough that we could sit outside and enjoy our fire pit. And, of course, roast some marshmallows. Parker did NOT like the roasted ones, but like the uncooked ones just fine. He also enjoyed helping Dad roast them.

Then he was scaring Grandma with a rubber snake he found in his sandbox.
