Playing in the Snow & Baby Jozlynn

Parker and I had playing in the snow yesterday! Only in Kansas can it be absolutely freezing, blizzard conditions, snow/sleeting and then in the afternoon it be fairly warm with no wind. Weird weather!

And finally, I remember to bring my camera with me to go visit Parker's newest cousin Jozlynn. She is so cute!

Here is Brooklyn (Logan's cuttie!), Jozlynn & Parker.

I was trying to find some family similarities, but I dunno...

March Madness

Well it seems like March 1st was just the other day, but then Spring Break has come and gone, and now we are preparing for Easter. Where does the time go? I haven't been a very good "updater" lately and so much has happened around here.

As I mentioned the beginning of March was here just a minute ago. Which means that softball season keeps me CRAZY busy! The team is looking good and we had our poster picture done (Thanks Don! He does such an awesome job! - ICU Photography), fundraising night, practices, and spring break. Speaking of Spring Break - I LOVE BEING A TEACHER! It is so nice to have that break and FINALLY I get to spend some time with Parker. It was much needed. We hung out at home most of the week (except for a couple hours each day because of softball practice), but Wednesday Great Grandma, Parker, and I made our way to the zoo. We had a great time! Too bad Kevin had to work all week mowing and preparing houses for the spring season.

Also, over Spring Break our close friends Megan Litton and Layton Saurer had a couple's party for their upcoming wedding. Megan's brother and sister-in-law held the party at their house in Newton and the plan was after the party boys and girls would split up and have their bachelor and bachelorette party. Let's just say the evening didn't work out...We had a great couple's shower and towards the end of the party, Megan decided to get on a homemade scooter (bar stool on wheels with a motor). She ended up falling off it and hit her head. She said she was fine, but upon further questioning, her memory wasn't quite there. So Scary!!! Megan ended up at the hospital. To make a long story short she is fine, but still can't remember the events of Saturday. Sunday is a little foggy; she took Monday & Tuesday off work and is doing better as of Wednesday. Poor Megan!

And today, as I'm updating the blog, I'm looking outside and it is SNOWING! Wichita is being hit with a huge snow storm that started yesterday afternoon. Yesterday it sleeted and rained most of the evening and then turned to snow overnight. So that means Kevin spent all last week mowing and grooming lawns and last night he and Grandpa Tom spent their time plowing snow. Only in Kansas! So Parker and I (and Grandma Lisa came over) have been snowed in, but the fireplace has been keeping us warm and cozy.

We (when I say "we," honestly it has been Kevin) are in the process of redoing our backyard. I can not wait for the final product! We have taken out the old grass and sod is coming soon - as soon as it is not snowing anymore (grrrr). We have an above ground pool to set up and plan to get a little playground going on for Parker. Then to complete the project, we will cover our deck and add on to our deck with a little patio area. Then the firepit I got Kevin for Christmas will come in handy. Here are the before pictures!

Last week Parker was cracking me up walking around in a pair of my flats. He thought he was such a stud - we'll see what he thinks when he looks back at this in a couple years.

Softball Season's Here Again!

Nothing too exciting happening over here at the Meirowsky house. Softball season is in full swing again, so it has been a HUGE adjustment only seeing Parker for an hour or two in the evening. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we won't have to practice so late and I can get home sooner. I came home one night last week and Parker had had his dinner and bath and was getting ready for bed. We had some music going and he was cracking us with with his dance moves.
