High hopes after the NFL draft...Parker says he will miss Jared Allen though!

About a week and a half ago, we went in for his 2 month shots. So awful to see him in pain!!! The nurse had me hold his arms and talk to him. As soon as she gave him his first shot, he looked at me like "what the heck!!!" Only the second time I've seen him cry tears!! But everyone warned us how fussy he would be the next 2 days, but Parker was great. I think if anything he slept more. Poor little guy. I think Dad gets to take him in for the 4 month shots!!

Anyway, he weighed 14 lbs 7.5 oz and was almost 25 inches long. I think you can tell from his pictures that he is well fed! He is in the 90th percentile; Dr. Tsang said that he is the size of an average 4 month old (and yes, do the math, he is 2 1/2 months old). She said that both parents are tall, so that is what she was expecting.

Parker is getting to be sooo much fun! He has definitely found his hands and sucks his thumb or tries to stick his whole hand in his mouth. He is reaching for things; helping hold his bottle or holding on to Mr. Ducky in the bath tub. His sight is really coming along. He can follow things pretty far away across the room and loves to play peek-a-boo. And talk about a happy baby! He is always smiling and giggling. When I get home from school/softball, he is all smiles. Not only did he find he can entertain his parents by smiling, he shows off with all his talking. He is going to be quite the public speaker some day! He loves to hear himself talk.

This weekend he went to his first slowpitch softball tournament. Dad was playing in Haysville (they went 2 - 2). The wind was a little chilly, but he stayed bundled up. He started to get a little cranky; he isn't used to all the cheering and the trains that went by. But he does love being outside!

We have started playing more on the floor and the dogs are getting more up close and personal. Both Oscar and Reagan have done real well. Both like to snuggle up and give lots of kisses.

Life just keeps getting busier and busier! Kevin is full swing into the lawn care and of course I'm back at work and softball games are keeping me out late a couple times a week. And Parker just keeps getting more fun! He can really follow you across his line of sight and he loves to smile. We are getting a couple of giggles out of him. I think it shocks him when it comes out of his mouth. His hair just keeps getting longer; won't be long and we will have to make an appointment with

a barber. He also really enjoys watching TV. We got him a new swing (his other one went ka-put) and this one can rotate around so he can watch us or the TV. The swing has been a life saver on the weekends. It allows Mom and Dad an hour or two more of sleep; we gotta catch up some time!! Here he is watching TV with Dad, sorry it is kinda blurry. My camera was running low on batteries so it was hard to get one in focus.
